Le origini dell’antica fortezza risalgono al XIII sec. quando gli Annibaldi, famiglia baronale di Sermoneta, decisero di costruire una rocca inespugnabile la quale subì nei secoli molti ampliamenti e trasformazioni ad opera dei successivi proprietari.

The origins of the ancient fortress date back to the 13th century, when the Annibaldi family, a baronial family of Sermoneta, decided to build an impregnable fortress which underwent many enlargements and transformations over the centuries by the subsequent owners.
